One of my boards had a piece of paper stretched onto it that'd been there for months. It was blank and I had no projects on, so I thought I'd self indulge. :meow:

I still find painting decent skin tones a bugger, but I'd like to think that this image shows a noticeable improvement over my older mooncalf paintings. I get too enthusiastic painting necks, and need to learn to tone down the modelling, and please ignore the ballsed-up back anatomy, yeh? :B

I love the paint strokes on this. It seems to give it a lot of life to it.

You thinking of going back to/re-exploring the moon calf world you've built up?

You've done well with the skin tones though, I've always found them a bugger on humans even in miniature.

I'd like to, although it's going to have to be more of a sporadic personal thing between more commercial work now. As much as I like mooncalves, they're a little too weird to have more than a very niche commercial appeal.

Yea, skin tones can be a bugger. If you could see this in the flesh you'd be able to feel where the paint is extra thick in certain areas where I ballsed-up parts of the skin.
