Hello Kitty by CrimsonMagpie Hello Kitty by CrimsonMagpie
Something I did a while ago; a Christmas present of sorts for ~NineWhileNine. :meow:

I'm afraid it's nothing special, just a somewhat generic mooncalf... although it is the first time I've incorperated the recent anatomical changes I've given the mooncalves into a finished drawing. :dummy:

(Yes, it's pale, that's because the original is pale)

HB 0.5mm mechanical pencil on A4 drawing paper.

I had the chance to hold the original in my hands today and it's absolutely amazing. Being in this domain myself, I don't say this about everything I see, so it takes something to impress me and I don't want you to think I'm bullshitting you, but I haven't felt so good seeing a work of art IRL since I visited the National Gallery in London almost 4 years ago. :D

You did, and you didn't hate it? :O Thank-you though, I'm glad you like it so much. :pringles:

Hate it? I was afraid to hold it so I don't ruin anything. It looks even better in real life, but I guess all drawings do.

That's a problem with pencil drawings. =p I did try to put a decent amount of fixative on though, so it could withstand the occasional touch. They do, I think all physical artworks do.

Do you use a special fixative or just hair spray? Cause I heard that works too but I never had the guts to try it.

I have fixative at home, but use hairspray in college. They both seem to work just fine. :B

I'll take your advice, but if any of my drawings turns into a mutant alien, you owe me a subscription :D
