Sorry for the poor image quality; the A3 scanner I have access to does not like areas of blank white paper. :[
I realised a while back that despite the fact I've wanted to be a fantasy and sci-fi illustrator since I was 13, I actually do very little classic fantasy or sci-fi art; most of what I create is somewhat niche and personal; a left-turn from my roots.
So, I decided for last term's project to create some proper classic fantasy imagery. This was going to be a concept sketch to nail the look of the character, but I got carried away because I enjoyed drawing it so much. I've not done something like this in years, it was so fun!
I'm aware the anatomy is somewhat off. This is a result of only originally intending to draw her head and headdress, the rest just spread out from there. Moral; do a sketch first.
