I wanted the mountain to look solid and aggressive, hence the somewhat exaggerated crags and symmetrical composition, with the mountains themselves looming up, taking up almost the entire picture plane.

I like the painting in theory, but the execution is a bit of a mess, as I started it days before the project deadline. I painted the entire thing in a day, without time to solve any problems that came up or to give it a decent finish, and it really shows. . . Get orgaised, kids, don't mess up paintings! :shakefist:

Ah I remember this one, this looked really good as a magic card sized image though didnt it? The composition and colours are perfect in painting.

It did look good as a Magic card, I agree. :nod: The rendering is pretty much correct, it's just the sloppy finish that makes it look messy when seen large. =p
