This thing is a bit of a mongrel I think. I was just practicing; trying out different techniques and stuff. I didn't really like it too much at the time but made a point of finishing it, I don't think I made any serious fuck-ups relatively speaking. Although I couldn't really be arsed to try getting a realistic skin-colour (I'm none too good at skin).

Looking back at it now (I finished it several weeks ago) I actually rather like it now, especially the wall. I like the wall. :)

Acrylics on plywood - 18 by 24" (I think)

I see I haven't commented on this so I will. =P You're really really good with colours, you've made the gray look so warm here, and colourful too. The background is amazing and the cliffs look like they've embossed out of the sky, and everything in this painting looks like it belongs there. The stone wall is also very well done, did you use any reference for it? I really like this, and if I had money I'd pay a nice sum for a commission like this. :) Now Imma give you a fav but that doesn't mean I like you, ok? :paranoid:

I am? Or rather; I was? :O I couldn't even paint skin at the time I did this, which it why his is brown/grey. . . I do like the wall and mountains though. I think I used a little reference to get the shape of the mountains and trees right, and the naginata. :B

But you have lots of old awesome drawings in your gallery :noes: When did you start painting? :B I see. :O I've always wanted one of those, it's the best way to hurt people without getting near them. :la:

I have lot's of old drawings in my gallery. Whether they're awesome is subjective. I went to a beginner's painting course when I was 14, that was a few evening classes, after that I was scared of painting on my own so didn't try again until I was 18, by which time I'd forgotten almost everything. :B

Apparently Japanese women used to sweep them low above the ground to cut samurai's legs off.

Well I for one think they're awesome and you shouldn't keep them in your scrapbook. :shakefist: Why don't you make any more jewellery? You only started painting at 14 and got so good at it? :noes: Why in the world would you be afraid to paint?

I'd swing it above my head to cut everybody's heads off :iconstarelaplz:

I only want my decent images in my main gallery. :B Iunno. . . I don't have the time to go visit the guy who taught my much anymore, and he's working solo now anyway. I could use the college jewellery facilities, but I want to put 100% effort into what I'm meant to be doing, lest I almost fail again. . . Iunno, I just found drawing safer, I knew there'd be less chance of fucking up images if I just drew. =p

You'd be very dangerous to everyone in a battle. :noes:
