vii - Drowning by CrimsonMagpie vii - Drowning by CrimsonMagpie
Seventh painting for my 'dark fairy-tale' project.

The badger has recovered from his burns so the rabbit has hatched another revenge plan for the badger; he makes a wooden boat for himself, clay boat for the badger, and they go out fishing together. When the badger's boat disintegrates he pleads for the rabbit to rescue him, only attacked and drowned.

What lovely things fairytales are. :meow:

Acrylic on paper 29.7 x 42cm 11.69 x 16.54"

Genuine original fairytales are like this, and cartoons are if you know where to look. ;)

Thanks. :meow:

Oh the horrors of the animal kingdom. They're a bit tamer this end. Seen a pigeon steal a squirrels lunch money the other day. But they made up after. Excellent painting once again feller!

That's just morbid, twisted and sick.

I  it. How great it would be if you could publish a book including this, then slip a copy or two in the kids' section of a library, just to watch the reactions... :evillaugh:

Hahah, thanks! :iconpringlesplz:

I did actually make a book of it, but I did it by hand so there's only one copy. I also added a surprise ending. :iconsecretplz:

You're welcome!

You should SO mass produce this, then the media would have to attribute murders to kids reading books, not playing video games! Hehe :D

Iunno, I don't think the illustrations are really good enough to publish. . . A revamped version would be good though. :bucktooth:

I think something like that has the potential to become popular if you were to create it in comic form, like a series... for speciality comic and collectable shops like "Forbidden Planet"...etc

I'd love to see it!

Ooh, I actually did some comic-type artwork for the second part of the module (that I've yet to upload). I did not really get on with that sort of format, although one can but practice. :bucktooth:
